If you're unsure what app you're supposed to use for your MobiCam, this article is just for you.
Depending on the design of the camera, select a Mobi App designated for that device.
Make sure you are using an app specific to your use. The latest & most updated app would be our Mobi Smart App, and we suggest using this app above all (For Gen-2 MobiCams only).
Our First Generation of MobiCams (MobiCam Multi-Purpose Gen-1 and MobiCam HDX Gen-1) were designed alongside our first three original smartphone apps.
The first app is the Original MobiCam App - a simple app designed to monitor up to 16 Gen-1 MobiCams at once. The second and third apps are the MobiCam Baby App and the MobiCam Pet App. These two apps were designed explicitly for MobiCam users to use features specific to the users needs.
These apps are only compatible with the First Generation of MobiCams.
Our Second Generation of MobiCams uses our two newest smartphone apps - the MOBI Smart App and the MOBI Plus App.
These two apps were built so all devices will be connected to the user within just one app. The MOBI Smart LED Light Bulb, the MOBI Smart Video Doorbell, the MOBI Smart Door and Window Sensor, and much more are all connected within the Mobi Smart.
The MOBI Smart App is our default smart home app.
The MOBI Plus App is our elderly monitoring app, with built-in security features and an optional subscription service that provides 24/7 Professional Monitoring, courtesy of Noonlight.
Only 2 MOBI Apps work with Gen-2 MobiCams - The MOBI Smart App & MOBI Plus App.
The easiest way to tell which App to use for your MobiCam is through the design.
You'll notice that the MobiCam HDX Gen-1 and MobiCam HDX Gen-2 are both Pan-And-Tilt Cams, so the camera will have the ability to change its view vertically & horizontally.

The MobiCam HDX Gen-1 & Gen-2 cameras are different based on shape and color.
The MobiCam Multi-Purpose Gen-1 & Gen-2 cameras are different based on the cable.
Additionally, because the Gen 2 MobiCam has a detachable power cord, you can purchase longer power cords and use them to place your MobiCam Multi-Purpose Gen-2 in higher and harder-to-reach places than you would typically be able to if you only use the included power cable that comes in the packaging.
