When it's time to setup your MobiCam, follow along with this video or the article below.
(Note: This setup process is specifically for MobiCam (70200) and MobiCam HDX V1 (70196), NOT MobiCam HDX V2 (70196-SK) The guide for the V2 is found here. )
What you will need to get started
- Smartphone or tablet
- 2.4GHz WiFi name and password

Step 1: Download the MobiCam app
Download the MobiCam app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Once you have downloaded the app, login or sign up for a new account.
To create a new MobiCam app account:
- Open the MobiCam app
- Tap Sign Up
- Enter your email address
- Enter your password twice
- Tap Send code
- Check your email for the 6-digit code. Be sure to check spam and junk folders. If you have not received code, wait 60 seconds, then tap Send Code again. Sometimes switching your mobile device from Wi-Fi to mobile data, or vice versa, can help when code is not coming through to your email.
- Enter code into app
- Tap Register Immediately
Connect your mobile device to your Wi-Fi's 2.4 GHz network and have your 2.4 GHz network name and password ready.

Step 2: Plug in MobiCam and wait for it to startup
MobiCam must be plugged into a power source at all times of desired operation.
The LED indicator will display a solid color when the camera is first plugged in to signify it is receiving power. After a few moments, the LED indicator will begin to blink and your MobiCam will speak "Welcome to MobiCam". This voice prompt means the camera is now ready to receive the sound wave.
Please turn your volume up during the soundwave. The camera may connect before the soundwave is finished- this is normal behavior. (If you do not hear the voice prompt, a reset can always help.)
Follow steps on your smart phone, if you are unable to see a video feed, close the app and reopen.
