The light blinking on the MobiCam MP is usually an indicator of it temporarily losing connection to the network, then working to re-establish the connection. Often this is a matter of the network signal being a bit weaker where the camera is placed. (More on that here: MobiCam LED Indicator Light)
The recommended Wi-Fi download speed is a minimum 20 Mbps (megabytes per second). The recommended upload speed is estimated no less than 7 - 10 Mbps. If you have multiple MobiCams, you may need higher speeds as the cameras use the available connection pipeline between them.
Here is how to test your Wi-Fi speeds:
- Stand next to the location of your MobiCam
- Make sure your mobile device is connected to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, the same as the MobiCam is connected.
- Open Google.com and search “speed test”
- Select “Run Speed Test”
- Repeat this several times over the next 15 mins to see the fluctuations in your network speeds.
This will tell you if your speeds match. The network speeds won't affect recording to the SD card if one is inside the device; it would only affect the live feed through the MobiCam App.
